The Feuchtwangen campus was also represented with four starters at the 10th Feuchtwangen Triathlon. Together with almost 150 individual starters, the two research assistants Marco Obermeier and Kevin Settler, research assistant and doctoral student Thomas Haupt, M.Sc. and coordinator Dr Gerd Hofmann took on the 500 m swim, 20 km bike ride and 5 km run.

True to the motto “Taking part is everything!”, all four had a great time. Thomas was able to secure 23rd place with a time of 1:08:22 and finished fourth in his age group. Gerd fought his way to seventh place overall and third place in his age group in 1:02:02. The perfectly organised event of the TuS Feuchtwangen triathlon department offered time for nice conversations after the finish and a short breather at the plentiful cake buffet. And the start for next year is already firmly on the team calendar.
