On Wednesday last week, the W-seminar in physics, accompanied by Oberstudienrat Jürgen Wesp, visited us at the campus. During a guided tour of the campus grounds by our coordinator Gerd Hofmann , they got an insight into the various elements of the innovative plus-energy research building. After learning about the photovoltaic system on the roof, the heat pump, the energy fence and the ice storage, Gerd Hofmann then introduced them to the various test stands on the subject of energy and building technology. The students also had the chance to get to know our bachelor’s degree program in sustainable engineering with a focus on energy and building technology, as well as our master’s degree in smart energy systems. The greatest interest was shown during the final use of the drones and the presentation of the drone academy, where the thermal imaging camera was used.
