Mayor Patrick Ruh welcomes international students to Feuchtwangen
After the official welcome at the start of the semester yesterday (Monday), the new Master’s students of the Smart Energy System programme arrived at the Campus Feuchtwangen of Ansbach University of Applied Sciences today. The head of the course, Prof. Johannes Jungwirth, gave his first lecture in the rooms of the Bayerische BauAkademie and introduced the organisational and content-related details of the course.
The managing director of the Bayerische BauAkademie, Gabriela Gottwald, took the opportunity to show the students around the grounds and explain the background. The students were particularly impressed by the many construction machines and wanted to take part in one of the many practical training sessions themselves.
During a guided tour of the innovative research building at Campus Feuchtwangen, coordinator Dr. Gerd Hofmann showed the numerous possibilities on and in the building for practical learning during their studies.
Feuchtwangen’s mayor Patrick Ruh also personally welcomed the international students. “We are really proud of this great institution and every single student in our town. It is really great that you are all here now,” said the mayor. Much to the delight of all the students, he also presented them with a welcome gift. The STUDFEU SURVIVALKIT was filled with regional products by the city marketing of Feuchtwangen.
In the concluding guided tour of the town, the students, but also the staff of Campus Feuchtwangen, were shown around the town centre. The churches of the cloistered town with their history particularly impressed international students.
