The team at the Feuchtwangen Energy Campus continues to grow
Since the beginning of the year, Marco Obermeier has been expanding the team at the Energy Campus of Ansbach University of Applied Sciences in Feuchtwangen. In addition to his master’s degree in “Applied Research in Engineering Sciences” at Ansbach University of Applied Sciences, he supports the team as a research assistant in the field of energy modeling.
Short interview
What has been your career so far?
I grew up and went to school in Ansbach. Then I did my apprenticeship at Transnova Ruf and worked there as a skilled worker. After that, I did my training as a state-certified electrical engineer at the technical school in Nördlingen. I completed my bachelor’s degree in computer engineering in Regensburg in 2022. Besides my bachelor studies I worked at Transnova Ruf, Oechsler AG and intive automobile GmbH. From 2021 to 2022 I had a research position at OTH Regensburg as a student assistant for energy grids and energy storage. From 2022, I worked on the GO!KAS research project of BUILD.ING Consultants + Innovators GmbH as a working student. Currently, I am doing my master’s degree in “Applied Research in Engineering Sciences” at Ansbach University of Applied Sciences.
What are your responsibilities on campus?
My area of responsibility is energy modeling for research projects in municipal heat planning and decarbonization.
What particularly attracted you to this job offer?
The opportunity to be directly involved in the energy transition. I want to tell my children later that I did everything I could to create a future worth living for them.
