Ansbach University of Applied Sciences achieves 6th place in the ranking
Praise for programme content, lecturers, courses and facilities
This year, the independent evaluation portal StudyCheck has once again presented the renowned StudyCheck Awards, which recognise the best universities and colleges. Ansbach University of Applied Sciences made the leap to a prominent position for the first time. In the overall ranking of the most popular German colleges and universities, this means 15th place out of 102, and in the state of Bavaria we are even in 6th place out of 21.
The independent evaluation portal StudyCheck.de offers one of the largest student databases in Germany. With insider knowledge from over 480,000 reports from students and graduates, prospective students receive guidance when choosing where and what to study, as well as important information on the content, costs and requirements of the most popular degree programmes. With around 510,000 users per month, StudyCheck is the portal with the widest reach for degree programmes in Germany.
The ranking is based on the opinion of students. The approximately 80,000 evaluations collected over the course of 2023 form the basis for this year’s rankings. Ansbach University of Applied Sciences received a total of 448 ratings in 2023 and the results are impressive: With an impressive recommendation rate of 95% and a score of 8.81 out of 10, we have achieved a remarkable increase compared to the previous year and thus made it into the top 10 best universities in Bavaria.
We are particularly proud of the students’ praise for our programme content, lecturers, courses and university facilities. Our top 5 degree programmes with the highest overall rating include Creative Management, Strategic Management, Applied Plastics Technology, Media Effects and Media Psychology and Digital Learning.
The two degree programmes based at the Feuchtwangen campus are also already represented on the portal. Smart Energy Systems achieved 3.8 out of 5 points and a recommendation rate of 90%. The Sustainable Building Systems Master’s course, which was only launched last autumn, has only received a few very positive reviews so far: “Sustainable Building Systems is a new field of study that prepares me for future energy savings and the reduction of fossil fuel consumption. Ansbach University of Applied Sciences is trying to open up new subject areas for students and that’s why I chose this university for my studies,” Mohammad’s assessment on the portal.
“We are particularly pleased with our university’s excellent position in a Germany-wide ranking, as it comes from our most important target group, our students. It confirms that we offer exciting course content and an excellent teaching and learning environment,” says Professor Dr Markus Paul, Vice President of Ansbach University of Applied Sciences.
