Another addition to the Energy Campus

Julia Fetzer complements the team with experience and creativity

Julia Fetzer from Herrieden joined the team at Ansbach University’s Energy Campus in Feuchtwangen in January. She has a broad range of professional experience from industry and is looking forward to the new challenges in the university environment.

“I hadn’t actually planned to change jobs,” says Julia Fetzer about her path to the university. But she was immediately impressed by the advertised position as a campus assistant. “The wide range of tasks and the opportunity to work creatively really appealed to me.” She previously gained valuable experience in industry – including as a management secretary, in sales and marketing assistance and most recently as an operational buyer. “I appreciate variety and am always ready to learn new things,” explains Julia Fetzer.

At the Energy Campus, she will primarily be responsible for planning and organizing events such as the regular Energy Talks and the Campus Festival as well as other events. She can also contribute her creativity to the creation of information material and presentations. “These are activities that I really enjoy,” says Julia Fetzer. “I also support the team in Feuchtwangen with administrative and coordinative tasks.”

She finds working in an environment that deals with sustainable energy and building technology particularly exciting. “Of course, I still need to get to grips with the topics of the branch office and the university more intensively,” she admits. “But I’m looking forward to developing further and making my contribution.”

For Julia Fetzer, one of the highlights of her new workplace is the modern teaching building on the Energy Campus, which was inaugurated in December. “It is a clear sign of the university’s growth and the successful implementation of sustainable energy and building technology in practice.” She is also motivated by the international exchange with students from many countries: “I am looking forward to getting to know the young people who are making an important contribution to the fields of construction, energy and the environment.”

Her start on campus was made easier by the warm welcome she received from the team. “I felt very comfortable right from the start and am very grateful to my colleagues for that.” With her experience from industry, particularly in the field of marketing, Julia Fetzer brings a breath of fresh air to Feuchtwangen and is looking forward to actively shaping the university and its events.
