Research at Campus Feuchtwangen
Sustainable building technology, the resource-saving use of building materials and innovative IT structures and business processes are central topics of our research. In doing so, we work closely with regional partners and currently address questions of the direct application of technologies.

Laboratory and Technology Centre
Our research hall offers space for a wide variety of experimental set-ups – both for research and teaching. Of particular interest to students is the extensive laboratory equipment consisting of components of innovative heat generation systems. Starting with the artificial sun, solar thermal collectors, storage tanks, surface heating systems and heat pumps, a wide variety of system combinations can be analysed and optimised in real life operation and important experience gained for building operation.
Our factory facilities allow us to research experimental product ideas, and a lifting platform enables practical research on the university’s own electric car. Combinable individual models from building services engineering are available for experiments in teaching and research. State-of-the-art tooling allows for innovative craft ideas. Over 280m² offer space for setting up and implementing the latest research experiments.
